The Pup patrol is ran, with oversight from Helen, by Darcy. The aim of the Pup Patrol is to teach everyone who wants to learn how children can be kept safer around dogs. On this page you will find updates and resources for the younger members of the family (Adults resources are avaliable on the courses page and through Helen’s blog!).
These are the rules of the pup patrol that every member should remember!
Your safety is the most important thing. Always try to keep yourself safe in every situation.
Remember when it is safe to go near a dog and when it is best to stay away. And never forget, If in doubt, ask about!
If you aren’t confident, a dog is behaving strangly, or something just dosent feel right, then stay away. Only a fool will rush in!
Sometimes… just sometimes, Adults do know best, it is always best to listen them about dogs just in case!
If a dog makes a noise, moves or behaves in a way that you don’t understand, stop what you are doing and ask an adult for help!
